Ms. Burr began her interest in art from when she was young. She taught art in Elba for twelve years, and also taught adult education classes in art at Genesee Community College. She took classes at Albright Art School, University of Buffalo and Buffalo State.

Ms. Burr enjoys painting landscapes, and has a studio in her home. She is influenced by Marg Martin of Buffalo and has studied under Larry Hopp and John Hodgins.
