Mrs. Thomas has been a working artist for over 25 years. Her primary subject matter is the human figure and portraiture, but she has recently become interested in landscapes and still life.
She was a classroom teacher in the Lockport School System for 34 years before retiring in 1996. Her artistic training includes classes at GCC, RIT, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery and SUNY Brockport along with private art lessons with George Palmer of Buffalo.
Her exhibitions range from local shows with the Batavia Society of Artists, an organization of which she is a past president, to exhibiting in the Katherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club's 89th Exhibition in New York City.
From 2001 until 2003 she and her husband Jim, also an artist, owned and operated GALLERY 15 in Rochester.
