Richard began painting in high school. For many years, he worked at F.E. Masons & Sons. Later, he made time for devoting himself to his love of watercolor painting, and considered Roy Mason as his artistic mentor.

He is known for his paintings of familiar area landscapes and of Upstate New York. His work has been included in Scenes of Monroe and Ontario Counties, Past and Present – 2003.

He has displayed his work in many art exhibitions, including the Woman's University Club of Rochester, the Geneva Historical Society and Museum, and the Cooperstown Art Association.

Mr. Ware sadly passed away in October 2005.
