The Byron Dig
The Byron Dig Exhibit has
been returned to the Buffalo Museum of Science and is no longer at the
Holland Land Office Museum
The museum holds on permanent exhibit artifacts from the Hiscock Site
in Byron, NY. The site is considered one of the richest Ice Age sites
in North America and archaeologists from the Buffalo Museum of Science
have been excavating there for almost 20 years. The exhibit, built in
co- operation with the Buffalo Museum of Science, highlights some of the
more interesting artifacts found at the Byron Dig, and we are proud to
have them available for public viewing in Genesee County. The display
includes a nine-foot long mastodon tusk, jaw, and vertebrae, as well as
artifacts from other animals that lived in the area.

stranger items in the collection.

Office Room focuses primarily on the history of the building itself

of the Ellicott family, Paolo Busti, the Holland Land Company, and

1917 and 1924 in the hamlet of Linden, near Bethany, New York. In
