Hamlet of East Bethany

Route 63 & East Road

East Bethany is located in the northwest part of the town along Route 63. It has a post office and churches. Earlier in its history, it had a school, hotel, two stores, a harness shop, blacksmith shop, a cider mill and a brick factory. In 1879, the D.L.& W. Railroad was built through East Bethany, and it became a water stop.
