Hamlet of Five Corners / Newkirk / Spring
Five Corners (Newkirk or Spring) is where the towns of Stafford, Elba, and Batavia meet. A post office was established there on June 12, 1893 with John O. Newkirk as the postmaster. At one time there was a half-mile racetrack, a brewery, and an inn on Bank Street Road.
